Assessments
Person-centred therapy, helping you reconnect to your humanness.
At Reeve Psychology, our assessments are designed to do more than provide a diagnosis - they offer clarity, understanding, and a deeper sense of self.
We know that seeking an assessment can feel both validating and overwhelming. You might have spent years questioning, masking, or trying to make sense of your experiences. Our goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported throughout the entire process.
Assessments are for adults only and are conducted by our experienced psychologist, Donna Vincent, who brings a warm, neurodiversity-affirming, and trauma-informed approach to her work. Donna focuses on understanding your lived experience - not just ticking boxes - so you leave the process with meaningful insight, not just a report.
(You can learn more about Donna under the“Our Team” page.)

Who’s It For?
Our assessments are designed for adults who may be:
Wondering if they might be autistic or have ADHD
Feeling different, overwhelmed, or “out of sync” with others
Noticing lifelong patterns around social interaction, focus, or sensory sensitivity
Exploring identity and wanting a clearer understanding of themselves
Seeking formal assessment for personal insight, validation, or support pathways
We aim to use real, human language throughout the process (not clinical jargon) so you feel understood, not analysed. If you are already a client at Reeve Psychology, you are welcome to access assessment services. We will simply take a little extra care to ensure clear boundaries and transparency throughout the process to support your experience.

When an Assessment May Not Be Appropriate (Right Now)
There are times when it may be more helpful to focus on immediate support before beginning an assessment. This may include if you are currently experiencing:
Active suicidal thoughts or significant distress
High levels of trauma symptoms or PTSD responses
Recent changes in medication that are still stabilising
Hallucinations or symptoms of psychosis
If this is the case, please know that support is still available. You are still welcome to reach out to our team, and we can help guide you toward the most appropriate next step (GP, Psychiatrist, or psychological counselling). In some situations, it may be helpful to begin with counselling sessions to build stability and support before moving into the assessment process.
